Disaster Response Certification

UTA OSHA Region VI Education Center’s goal for the Disaster Site Training and Certification Programs is to develop and credential a cadre of highly trained personnel who can safely respond to and provide skilled support services for both natural and human-caused disasters. To accomplish this goal, UTA has developed three new Disaster Site Certification Programs.

Disaster Response Technician

Successful completion of the following four (4) required courses:

Successful completion of the following five (5) required courses:

Successful completion of the following two (2) required certifications and three (3) elective courses:

  • SH 561 - Disaster & Emergency Management for the Disaster Site Professional
  • Three (3) Electives from the following courses:

  • OSHA 2015 - Hazardous Materials*
  • OSHA 2225 - Respiratory Protection
  • OSHA 2264 - Permit-Required Confined Spaces*
  • OSHA 3010 - Excavation, Trenching, and Soil Mechanics
  • OSHA 3095 - Electrical Standards
  • OSHA 3110 - Fall Protection
  • SH 340 - Cranes, Derricks and Material Handling
  •   *Online courses will not be accepted.
