This three day workshop provides participants with a comprehensive review of occupational safety and health concepts and test-taking strategies in preparation for the Safety Fundamentals examination leading to the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation. This workshop will review fundamentals in mathematics, physics, probability and statistics as well as use of a calculator for typical calculations that will be required. It will also review sample questions addressing the domains of mathematics; safety management systems; ergonomics; fire prevention and protection; occupational health; environmental management; training, education, and communication covered in the exam that will guide participants toward full competency in the field of Occupational, Safety, and Health. Other topics will include the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of EHS hazards; EHS training and management; business principles, practices, and metrics in EHS; and ASP certification requirements and scoring procedures for test preparation. A workbook will be provided.
