The Leadership Development Course for 1st Line Supervisors is an innovative 2-day course for delivery on-site to miners in the Western U.S. mines. Person-People-Environment ("PPE") for Leaders is a leadership development course designed to provide front-line mining supervisors with the skills and knowledge necessary to influence employees to work safely and contribute effectively toward building and sustaining a positive organizational and safety culture. This course introduces supervisors to the "soft skills" they can use to deal with diversity in the workplace, leverage adult learning, understanding themselves through personal evaluation and assessment, improving communication, team building, motivation, mentoring, and strategies to promote positive safety culture in their team and organization.
