Introduction to Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments

During this course, participants will learn about concepts and skills for conducting Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments following federal requirements.

Topics include:
  • How to obtain records, site inspections, identify possible risk of contamination, historical photos, environmental liens, conduct interviews and how to write your final environmental site assessment report.
  • Explain basic concepts of sampling plan development and field
    screening techniques and documentation.
  • Identify the different types of sampling methods and protocols for
    waste, water/groundwater and soil.
  • Interpret laboratory data and discuss the Standard Guide for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Process.

Notes:

To access our online courses, you will need a computer with high-speed internet access, and the app. I also suggest having a microphone so that you can talk directly with the instructor and your fellow students.

The week before class begins, you will receive instructions on where to go to download the App, how to access the online classroom, and your invitation to the classroom.
